1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using ExamBuddy Mzansi (the "platform"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. If you are under 18, your parent or guardian must agree on your behalf.

2. Description of Service

ExamBuddy Mzansi provides AI-powered exam preparation tools aligned with the South African CAPS and NSC curriculum, including past papers, practice mode, mock exams, an AI tutor, study planning, and classroom tools for teachers.

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time. We are not liable to you for any such changes.

3. Your Account

You must provide accurate information when creating your account and keep your password secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

You must be a South African student, parent, teacher, or administrator, or otherwise authorised to use the platform. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: misuse the platform, attempt to access data you are not authorised to see, share your account, reverse-engineer or scrape the service, use the platform to cheat in actual examinations, or upload content that is unlawful, harmful, or infringes others' rights.

AI-generated answers are study aids. Using them to cheat in a real NSC examination violates these terms and South African examination regulations.

5. Credits & Subscriptions

Some features require credits or a paid subscription. Credits are a virtual currency tied to your account, do not expire, and are non-refundable except where required by law.

Subscription and credit pack prices are shown on the Pricing page in South African Rand. School licenses are billed separately and grant enrolled students unlimited AI access.

6. AI-Generated Content

Content produced by AI features (tutor responses, answer checking, grading, variants) is generated by machine-learning models and may contain errors. You are responsible for verifying all AI output before relying on it.

We do not guarantee that AI-generated content will be accurate, complete, or suitable for your specific situation.

7. Intellectual Property

The platform, its design, code, and original content are owned by ExamBuddy Mzansi and protected by intellectual property laws. Official NSC past papers and memoranda remain the property of the Department of Basic Education and are provided for study purposes.

Content you create (such as notes or assessments) remains yours. By using the platform, you grant us a licence to process that content as needed to provide the service to you.

8. Disclaimer

The platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee specific exam results. Your success depends on your own effort and study habits.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ExamBuddy Mzansi is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the preceding 12 months.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms or for any other reason at our discretion, with notice where practical.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of South Africa.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated terms on this page and updating the "last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
